Good News at Brain Bunny

1 October 2012

There’s lots of great things happening here at Brain Bunny Headquarters!

Helen found out recently that she has been awarded a seven day residency by the Wellington Children’s Book Association. The residency will take place at New Pacific Studio, a 5 acre property located 20 kilometres north of Masterton. It is a fantastic location to leave the world behind for a while and concentrate solely on writing. Helen plans to get to work on a new novel during her stay.

Also, one of our students has been selected in the 2012 Magical Tales Competition run by New Zealand Post. Solomon has been with us since term one, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for him. We have always been hugely impressed by his work in class, and this selection is testament that he’s headed for great things in literary world. To be one of the 15 selected out of over 3000 entries is a huge achievement, so he should be very proud.

Our holiday programme is coming on the second of October, and we’re really looking to meeting all the new students. Hopefully we’ll create some masterpieces together!

Happy writing,
Mary and Helen
