\"Student<\/a>We\u2019ve made some exciting new changes at Brain Bunny lately. This term, we\u2019ve been offering private individual and small group creative writing lessons. I\u2019ve had chance to meet some new budding young writers through these, and I\u2019ve been very impressed with the work they\u2019ve created during lessons.

Our regular\u00a0after school creative writing classes<\/a>, and holiday programmes will be resuming soon, so keep an eye on this website and our\u00a0Brain Bunny Workshops Facebook page<\/a>\u00a0for updates.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, there are several exciting competitions and opportunities for young writers coming up, including\u00a0A Fabulous Poetry Competition<\/a>\u00a0for Children\u00a0in Years 3-8 and\u00a0The Reading Superheroes Competition<\/a>\u00a0for students in Years 1-10. Writing tip: writing scenes between characters is about more than just the dialogue. What people are doing, while they\u2019re talking, can be just as important. Try writing a scene where two characters are arguing, without using any dialogue at all. Think about what the characters are doing, and how that shows how they feel about each other. When you\u2019re finished, add the dialogue in, and see if you can make the actions and speech work together to create the scene.<\/p>\n
