Exceptions are made on a case by case basis, so please contact us<\/a> to discuss whether the programme will be suitable for your child.<\/p>\n If your child wants to attend the term classes, but is not sure if they will like them, we recommend attending one of our three-hour\u00a0holiday programmes, or one of our\u00a0one-hour\u00a0trial classes (held in the last week of the January school holidays.) These give a good idea of the types of writing exercises we will do in the term classes. If your child is not able to attend the holiday programme or trial class, they may attend the first lesson of the term as a trial under the following conditions: The class must already have the minimum number of students to go ahead for the term, without your child\u2019s enrolment. You will\u00a0be charged\u00a0the deposit fee\u00a0for the class ($25) but you will not have to pay the remainder of the term fee if you child\u00a0decides not to continue.\u00a0In instances\u00a0where there is a wait-list for a class, priority will be given to parents wanting to enroll for the full term.<\/p>\n We ask you to fill out an enrolment form in advance of the classes for a number of reasons. The form provides us with information about your child, which we may need to consider in planning the lessons. The enrolment form also provides us with contact information for\u00a0you, so we can let you know if the class is cancelled for any reason, or if there is any additional information you need to know beforehand. Finally, in instances where there is a waiting list for a programme, we take enrolments for the class based on the order the enrolment forms are received. We\u2019ve had a number of instances\u00a0where people have said they would like to take\u00a0a place in the class, then not turned up on the day. We\u2019ve found taking enrolments based on the enrolment forms is the fairest and most reliable way to assign places.<\/p>\n Unfortunately we are not able to offer a discount for missed sessions, as most children will miss at least one class during the term due to illness, holidays, or\u00a0other commitments. Please see our fees<\/a> page for more details on this. If your child is only able to attend a few sessions during the term, you may like to schedule some individual<\/a> or small group lessons <\/a>instead.<\/p>\n Yes, your child can enroll part way through the term. However, we are not able to offer you a discount for this. If your child has already missed a number of the lessons for the term, you may like to enroll for the following term instead.<\/p>\n If you change your mind about taking a place in one of our classes, please let us know as soon as possible. If you don\u2019t let us know, or don\u2019t let us know until the last minute, you may be charged a late notice cancelation fee.
