We\u2019ve found that instilling a love of story telling, rather than focusing on spelling and grammar, helps children gain confidence in their creative writing skills.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each week we focus on a different topic, from <em>Where do ideas for stories come from?<\/em> to <em>How to edit and rewrite a completed first draft<\/em>. Classes are made up of a mixture of group discussions, writing exercises and writing games to help engage all different types of learners.<\/p>\n<p>Our classes are suitable for students who are passionate about creative writing and looking for extension, as well as students who are struggling with writing in a classroom setting and looking to gain confidence.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/brainbunny.co.nz\/index.php\/individual-creative-writing-lessons\/\">Individual<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/brainbunny.co.nz\/index.php\/classes\/small-group-creative-writing-lessons\/\">Small-Group<\/a>\u00a0lessons are suitable for ages 7+ and can be tailored to your child&#8217;s needs.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking for <a title=\"Classes for Adults\" href=\"http:\/\/brainbunny.co.nz\/index.php\/classes\/classes-for-adults\/\">classes for adults<\/a> who want to write for children, Helen also teaches the Writing for Children\u00a0workshops at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cecwellington.ac.nz\/w\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wellington High School Community Education Centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At Brain Bunny Workshops, our classes are focused on teaching kids how to write creatively.
