Last Sunday, Mary and I volunteered at the Wellington Storylines Family Day. We were looking after the competition zone, collecting all the fabulous creative writing and illustration entries. In the spirit of the festival, we donned costumes and spent the day as Princess Mary and Fairy Helen.<\/p>\n

Part of our job was to direct people to activities upstairs. We think we did a good job.<\/p>\n

Clifford the Big Red Dog was a real crowd favourite, with children lining up for hugs. Mary and I couldn\u2019t resist getting a photo either.\"Clifford\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Wellington Family Day attracts around 3,000 people each year, with crafts, face painting, author talks, competitions and other activities.<\/p>\n
