Ben Spies

Ben has been doing great things with his writing. He’s published four books, despite only just having reached his teen years and he recently won a bronze medal in the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards for his third book, The World of Greek Mythology. Denika Mead

Denika is another young writer doing great things. She’s published a fantastic fantasy series for children aged 8-12, called the Royal Orchid series, and has written the first two books in a sci fi series called Agents Of TIME, for young adults. Find out more on Denika’s website.

Sacha Cotter

Sacha did the Writing for Children workshop back in 2014 and has since gone on to do amazing things with her writing, publishing several books and winning awards. Find out more on Sacha’s website.

Elaine Bicknell

Elaine was a student in the Writing for Children Workshop and also did the Writing for Children – Next Step class. She won the Joy Cowley Award with her book The Little Ghost Who Lost her Boo and has since written several other books. Find them at The Children’s Bookshop.

Marie Munro

Marie was a student in the Writing for Children Workshop and also did the Writing for Children – Next Step class. Marie has written a number of books for children, including Nana’s Shed, Bella’s Fringe, Nana’s New Porch. Her picture books are fun stories and great resources for learning Te Reo Maori.
