This week the Karori Brain Bunny class were learning about poetry – in particular list poems, metaphors and similes. They were asked to come up with a topic as a group and each write one metaphor or simile on that subject. Then we put the lines together to create a collaborative poem. Term One Update
It’s been a busy start to the year, over here at Brain Bunny HQ! In January, I was asked to run a creative writing class for adults at Mix in Lower Hutt. The class was great fun, and I was really impressed with all the creative ideas that came out of it. We also had a fantastic trial class at the Churton Park Community Centre, for children wanting to try out Brain Bunny classes.
Then we were straight into term one with regular afterschool classes in Karori and Churton Park, and we welcomed our new Churton Park tutor, Shona McNeil. Continue reading
