Last Sunday, Mary and I volunteered at the Wellington Storylines Family Day. We were looking after the competition zone, collecting all the fabulous creative writing and illustration entries. In the spirit of the festival, we donned costumes and spent the day as Princess Mary and Fairy Helen.
Part of our job was to direct people to activities upstairs. We think we did a good job.
The Wellington Family Day attracts around 3,000 people each year, with crafts, face painting, author talks, competitions and other activities.
You can read more about the Storylines Festival, and the Family Days around the country on the Storylines website here.
Hope to see you there next year!
